Spring Brings Scholarships at WNC Community Credit Union
Educational expenses just seem to climb each year. However, you may be in luck if your child is currently enrolled at a two or tour year school or plans to attend next Fall.
We offer these types of scholarships each year to dependents of current members.
(1) Two year scholarship
(1) Four year scholarship
(1) Scholarship to members who have been displaced due to downsizing or job elimination
So just download the scholarship application below or stop by your credit union to pick up the application. Completed applications must be returned to our office by June 1st, 2022, applications sent in after will not be accepted.

A new year has started and that means it’s time for our Annual Meeting. As a reminder, the meeting WILL NOT be at the Blue Rooster this year. Instead, it will be hosted via video chat over Zoom (see details below). Know that WNCCCU is monitoring and seeking advice through the CDC. You can still handle many of your cash needs at a safe distance and remain germ-free. If you have not already opened a checking account, you may wish to apply. This account has a debit card that works through ATM and over 1,100 CASH POINT locations across the state.
You can also set up online banking to transfer funds between savings and checking, make loan payments, pay bills, and transfer funds from your account to another institution.

Federally Insured Savings

The National Credit Union Share Insurance Fund is the federal fund created by Congress in 1970 to insure member’s deposits in federally insured credit unions such as WNC Community Credit Union. Administered by the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA), this provides our members with $250,000 of insurance on their Shared Savings Account backed by the full faith and credit of the United States. Credit union members have never lost a penny of insured savings at a federally insured credit union.
